The Minnesota Twins and the Seattle Mariners meet Sunday in MLB action from T-Mobile Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Minnesota Twins vs Seattle Mariners Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Minnesota Twins will send out Joe Ryan for the start here and 5-5 with a 3.31 ERA and 100 strikeouts this season. Minnesota Twins Recap

The Minnesota Twins will be looking to win the rubber match of the series after evening the set up at one win apiece thanks to a 5-1 win in Saturday’s matchup. The win gave the Twins the chance to keep their series win streak alive after knocking off the Diamondbacks and A’s on this road trip.

Twins Continue Swinging Hot Bat

Willi Castro leads the Twins at the dish with 79 hits including 21 doubles and 5 triples as well as 27 RBIs and 8 stolen bases. Ryan Jeffers has a team-high 13 home runs, 41 RBIs and 15 doubles with a .232 batting average and .319 OBP. Carlos Santana has 12 home runs with 39 RBIs while Carlos Correa has 9 home runs, 40 RBIs and 15 doubles. Jose Miranda has 16 doubles and Castro has a team-high 80 strikeouts so far this season.

Why the Minnesota Twins will win

  • The Twins have won each of their last four day games against AL West opponents.
  • The Mariners have lost four of their last five games after playing the previous day.
  • The Twins have covered the run line in each of their last six games after playing the previous day.
  • The Mariners have failed to cover the run line in seven of their last eight games against AL Central opponents.

Seattle Mariners Recap

The Seattle Mariners will try to bounce back and win the set after their stumble in Saturday’s matchup. The loss meant that Seattle could take another series loss after losing to the Rays, Marlins and Guardians over the last week and a half.

Mariners Trying To Right The Ship

Julio Rodriguez leads the Mariners with 82 hits including a .248 batting average and also has 6 doubles. Cal Raleigh has a team-high 14 home runs along with 50 RBIs and 95 strikeouts. Mitch Haniger also has 7 home runs and 31 RBIs while Rodriguez has a team-high 16 stolen bases and 96 strikeouts as well this season. Dylan Moore has a team-high 14 doubles and Mitch Garver has 12 doubles also this season.

Why the Seattle Mariners will win

  • The Mariners have won seven of their last eight games as underdogs against AL Central opponents following a home loss.
  • The Twins have lost 11 of their last 12 road games against teams that held a winning record.
  • The Mariners have covered the run line in each of their last eight games as underdogs against AL Central opponents following a home loss.
  • The Twins have failed to cover the run line each of their last four day games against teams that held a winning record.

Minnesota Twins vs Seattle Mariners Prediction

I’m on the Twins here. I know catching Luis Castillo as a home underdog is tempting on the surface, but there’s been a lot of times where Castillo hasn’t looked ace-like this season and I think the Twins could take advantage here. Joe Ryan’s had issues in spots, but the Mariners are really struggling against righties right now and have a sky-high strikeout rate against right-handed pitching in the last two weeks, which is big for a strikeout pitcher like Ryan. Give me Minnesota here.

Chris Ruffolo's Pick: Minnesota -110
