In this article we will formulate a Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals prediction for this MLB game on Monday, April 7th at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

The Minnesota Twins are 3-6 this year after they lost two out of three games against Houston over the weekend by scores of 2-5, 6-1, and 7-9. In game three, Minnesota led 7-1 in the fourth inning, but they allowed Houston to chip away and tie the game in the ninth, before losing in extra innings. The Twins recorded 12 hits and committed one error, while they were led by Larnach, who went 1-3 in the game with three RBIs. Minnesota started Paddack, who allowed seven hits and three earned runs over 4.0 innings, while Jax blew the save in the ninth and Varland picked up the loss in the 10th.

Prior to that series, the Twins won two out of three against the White Sox and were swept by the Cardinals. The Minnesota pitching staff has a 4.96 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP and a .272 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 35 runs with a .198 batting average and a .266 on base percentage this season. Harrison Bader has led Minnesota with three home runs and eight RBIs, while Jose Miranda has added one home run and five RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Minnesota is Simeon Woods-Richardson, who is 0-0 with a 4.50 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP over 4.0 innings pitched this season.

Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

The Kansas City Royals are 4-5 this season after they won two out of three against Baltimore in their last series by scores of 8-2, 1-8, and 4-1. In the last game of that series, the Royals scored four runs in the first two innings and they were able to get great pitching for the win. Kansas City recorded 13 hits in the game and they were led by Massey, who went 1-4 with two RBIs in the win. Kansas City started Bubic, who allowed five hits and one earned run over 6.2 innings for the win, while Estevez picked up the save in the ninth.

Prior to that series, the Royals lost two out of three against the Brewers and two out of three against the Guardians. The Kansas City pitching staff has a 3.39 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP and a .234 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 36 runs with a .238 batting average and a .304 on base percentage this season. Vinnie Pasquantino has led KC with one home run and eight RBIs, while Maikel Garcia has added two home runs and six RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Kansas City is Michael Lorenzen, who is 0-1 with a 5.06 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP over 5.1 innings pitched this season.

Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals Prediction

Both of these AL Central teams have started the season below .500 through nine games, but Kansas City is coming off of a series win and they will be at home for this game. The Royals won two out of three against a good Baltimore team over the weekend, while Minnesota absolutely collapsed in their loss on Sunday. Neither pitcher was very effective in their first outing, but I do think Lorenzen is the better option and KC should have all of the momentum. Take the Royals here.
