The Milwaukee Brewers and the Colorado Rockies will meet on Friday night in the opening game of a three‑game National League series at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado.

Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview

The Milwaukee Brewers enter Friday’s contest with a 37–23 overall record (1st in the National League Central) and a 16–10 mark on the road. The Brewers offense has been productive to this point in the season. Milwaukee has compiled 301 runs scored (6th in MLB), 101 doubles, 44 home runs and a .247 team batting average which ranks seventh in the Major League Baseball.

The Brewers arrive at Friday’s game in below average form. More specifically, Milwaukee has lost two consecutive six games, including a 1–0 shutout loss to the San Francisco Giants earlier this week.

Milwaukee will turn to right hander Brandon Sproat in this contest. In nine starts made this season, Sproat has compiled a 1–4 win‑loss record, a 6.24 ERA, a 1.53 WHIP and 52 strikeouts, while allowing 48 hits and 27 walks in 49 innings pitched. Sproat will look to rebound from his recent struggles on the mound in Friday’s matchup with the Colorado Rockies.

Shifting our focus to the Milwaukee offense, the Brewers lineup features catcher William Contreras and second baseman Brice Turang. Contreras enters this contest with a .285 batting average, 4 home runs, 10 doubles, 22 walks, 37 RBIs and a .731 OPS. Brice Turang has amassed a .280 batting average, 7 home runs, 35 RBIs and an .869 OPS.

Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

The Colorado Rockies enter Friday night’s matchup with a 24–39 overall record (5th in the National League West) and a 12–16 mark at home. Colorado arrives at this contest in good form. The Rockies have won four of the team’s last six games played this season, including a 9–8 defeat of the Los Angeles Angels three days ago.

Colorado will start right hander Ryan Feltner in this evening’s game. In six starts made this season, Feltner has compiled a 2–1 record, a 4.85 ERA, a 1.31 WHIP and 19 strikeouts, while allowing 26 hits and 8 walks in 26 innings pitched.

The Colorado Rockies lineup features first baseman TJ Rumfield and outfielder Troy Johnston. TJ Rumfield enters this contest with a .244 batting average, 15 home runs, 27 RBIs and an .816 OPS. Troy Johnston has tallied a robust .320 batting average (4th in MLB), 17 doubles, 16 walks, 24 RBIs and a .792 OPS.

Why the Milwaukee Brewers will win.

• Ability to win on the road. The Milwaukee Brewers have compiled a 16-10 record on the road in 2026.

• Offensive balance. Catcher William Contreras and second baseman Brice Turang continue to anchor the Milwaukee lineup.

• Overall form. The Milwaukee Brewers enter today’s contest with one of the best records (37-23) in the National League.

Why the Colorado Rockies will win.

• Home field advantage. Coors Field remains one of the most favorable offensive environments in Major League Baseball.

• Offensive potential. First baseman TJ Rumfield and outfielder Troy Johnston provide the Colorado Rockies with consistent production.

• Current form. The Colorado Rockies have won four of the team’s six games played this season.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Colorado Rockies Prediction

In my opinion, the way to go in this contest is the total, not a side. Why? This game will be played at Coors Field in Colorado, where altitude has historically had a positive effect on offense. Additionally, both starting pitchers in this matchup have been inconsistent on the mound in 2026, which leads me to the belief that we will see runs early and often in this contest. With that said, I am backing over 10.5 runs in this game.

Hans Geevers's Pick: Over 10.5
