The Marlins’ weekend series was against the Seattle Mariners. Miami fell 9-0 in a blowout Saturday result but otherwise won 3-2 in game one and 6-4 in the finale for a series victory. On Monday versus the Royals the Marlins were out-hit 6-4 in a 4-1 loss. Starter Roddery Munoz finished with 6.0 innings and four earned runs.

Miami Marlins vs Kansas City Royals Prediction
I’m going to take a stab on the Marlins due to the thick line. Probably not touching it in reality, though. Chirinos has just the one start under his belt this year. On June 19 versus the Cardinals, Chirinos gave up two earned on eight hits in 5.0 innings for a no-decision. As for Lugo, he’s done fairly well over his last two starts with four earned in 12.2 innings for a 1-0 record.
On Monday the Marlins really only had one bad inning on defense and the bullpen was excellent. That said, there wasn’t much going on at the plate. Miami needs to get the bats going if they want to stand a chance Tuesday.
