Seattle Mariners Betting Preview

The Seattle Mariners are 68-56 this year after they split the first two games in this series by scores of 11-9 and 1-3. In their game two loss, Seattle failed to score in the first eight innings, but they did score in the ninth to avoid the shutout. The Mariners recorded four hits in the game and they were led by Suarez, who went 1-4 with one home run and one RBI in the loss. Seattle started Woo, who allowed six hits and one earned run over 6.0 innings for the loss, while Ferguson allowed two earned runs in relief.

Prior to this series, the Mariners lost two out of three against the Orioles, but did sweep the Rays in three games before that. Seattle has lost three of their last four games and they are currently second in the AL West standings. The Seattle pitching staff has a 3.82 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP and a .239 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 566 runs with a .243 batting average and a .320 on base percentage this season. Mariners vs Mets Prediction

New York was able to stop the bleeding with a win on Saturday afternoon, but they really need a series win here to pick up some momentum. The Mets are five games back of the Phillies right now and they are starting Holmes, who has had some recent struggles. The Mariners are starting Kirby, who has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four straight starts. I think Seattle has the better starter in this game and I like them to get the win.
