The Los Angeles Angels and the Seattle Mariners meet Sunday in MLB action from T-Mobile Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Los Angeles Angels vs. Seattle Mariners prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Los Angeles Angels will send out Tyler Anderson for the start here and Anderson is 8-8 with a 2.97 ERA and 81 strikeouts this season. In his last five starts against Seattle, Anderson is 1-1 with a 4.32 ERA and 23 strikeouts. Bryce Miller will start for Seattle and is 7-7 with a 3.63 ERA and 98 strikeouts this season. In his career, Miller is 1-0 with a 0.82 ERA and 19 strikeouts against the Angels.

Los Angeles Angels Recap

The Los Angeles Angels come into this series looking to build some steam after salvaging an 8-5 win in Sunday’s series finale against the Oakland A’s. Despite Sunday’s win, the Angels still lost the series, failing to build on their series win over the Mariners before the all-star break.

Angels Looking To Avoid Slipping Into AL West Basement

Taylor Ward has 80 hits along with 17 doubles, 14 home runs and 44 RBIs. Mike Trout also has 10 home runs along with a pair of triples and 6 stolen bases, but remains out indefinitely with injury while Zach Neto has 23 doubles, 81 strikeouts and 16 stolen bases. Luis Rengifo also has 79 hits and 22 stolen bases while Jo Adell has 15 home runs, 45 RBIs and 12 stolen bases as well. Logan O’Hoppe has 83 hits and Neto has a team-high 86 hits as well with O’Hoppe adding 14 homers and 42 RBIs.

Why the Los Angeles Angels will win

Seattle Mariners Recap

The Seattle Mariners come into this set hoping to rebound from their series loss to the Astros, despite a 6-4 win over Houston in Sunday’s finale. The Mariners still lost the series to the Astros, bookending their all-star break losses with the series loss to the Halos.

Mariners Trying To Regain AL West Lead

Julio Rodriguez leads the Mariners with 101 hits including a .263 batting average and also has 9 doubles. Cal Raleigh has a team-high 20 home runs along with 61 RBIs and 118 strikeouts. Mitch Haniger also has 8 home runs and 34 RBIs while Rodriguez has a team-high 18 stolen bases and 112 strikeouts as well this season. Dylan Moore has 14 doubles with 17 stolen bases and Josh Rojas has a team-high 15 doubles also this season.

Why the Seattle Mariners will win

Angels vs. Mariners Prediction

I’m on the Mariners here. I get that Seattle’s been a hard team to back in recent weeks, but the reality is if they’re going to compete down the stretch and not fold like a cheap tent, they have to take advantage of and win the sets they’re supposed to and this is a prime spot for me. The Mariners have hit lefties a lot better than righties during these recent struggles, and I think the Mariners get to Anderson here. Miller has pitched better at home as it is this season and I think Seattle follows suit and gets the win here.

Chris Ruffolo's Pick: Seattle -165
