The Los Angeles Angels and the San Francisco Giants meet Friday in MLB action from Oracle Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a LA Angels vs San Francisco Giants Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Los Angeles Angels will send out Tyler Anderson for the start here and Anderson is 5-6 with a 2.63 ERA and 53 strikeouts this season. In his last five starts against the Giants, Anderson is 2-1 with a 4.34 ERA and 25 strikeouts. The San Francisco Giants did not have a starting pitcher announced for this matchup.

Los Angeles Angels Recap

The Los Angeles Angels come into this one looking to rebound after a series loss at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks thanks to an 11-1 loss in Thursday’s series finale. The series loss meant back-to-back series defeats for the Halos after their loss to the Astros last weekend.

Angels Still Dealing With Inconsistent Offense

Taylor Ward leads the Angels with 61 hits along with 12 home runs and a team-high 36 RBIs. Mike Trout also has 10 home runs along with a pair of triples and 6 stolen bases, but remains out indefinitely with injury while Zach Neto has 16 doubles, 58 strikeouts and 8 stolen bases. Luis Rengifo also has a team-high 17 stolen bases while Jo Adell has 12 home runs, 30 RBIs and 9 stolen bases as well.

Why the Los Angeles Angels will win

San Francisco Giants Recap

The San Francisco Giants come into this one looking to build on their series win after their 5-3 win over the Houston Astros in Wednesday’s series finale, giving the Giants back-to-back series wins after knocking off the Texas Rangers in last weekend’s three-game series.

Giants Trying To Wake Up At The Plate As Well

Thairo Estrada has 59 hits along with a team-high 8 home runs and 32 RBIs while also chipping in 12 doubles. Michael Conforto has 42 hits with 8 home runs, 7 doubles and 22 RBIs while Matt Chapman has a team-high 60 hits of his own alongside 18 doubles with 8 homers, 29 RBIs and 5 stolen bases. Chapman also has the dubious distinction of leading the Giants with 66 strikeouts this season.

Why the San Francisco Giants will win

LA Angels vs San Francisco Giants Prediction

I’m on the Giants in this one. I just don’t have much faith in the Angels to begin with, but I really think that Tyler Anderson is due for regression and we’ve started to see it especially in his last start. Anderson for the majority of his career has been a guy that will give you an ERA in the high-fours or low-fives, and an ERA around three just was never going to be sustainable. The Giants are hitting lefties fairly well and if this ends up being a bullpen game for San Francisco, the bullpen for the Giants has also improved in recent weeks. I’ll side with San Francisco in this one.
