Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

Over the weekend the Royals took on the Chicago Cubs. Kansas City managed a 6-0 win Friday before dropping the two remaining games. Following an 8-5 win over the White Sox on Monday, in game two the Royals eked out a 4-3 victory.

As starter for the finale the Royals will go with Brady Singer. So far Singer is 7-6 with a 2.82 ERA in 21 starts. Over 116 games (113 starts) in his career Singer is 34-37 with a 4.17 ERA.

Chicago White Sox Betting Preview

Over on the White Sox’ side, they played the Seattle Mariners in their last series. Chicago lost all three of those games for another series sweep. On Tuesday the Sox out-hit KC 7-4 but still couldn’t win.

Drew Thorpe will take the mound for the start on Wednesday. This year Thorpe is 3-2 with a 4.81 ERA in the first eight starts of his career.

Kansas City Royals vs Chicago White Sox Prediction

I’ll stay with the Royals. Singer has a couple great starts under his belt in the last pair. During that time Singer is 2-0 with 14.0 innings and zero earned runs on seven hits and four walks. As for Thorpe, he’s coming off an ugly loss to the Mariners (eight earned in 0.2 innings) but was pitching well before that.

On Tuesday the Royals were down 2-1 heading into the eighth inning but came alive soon thereafter. KC got a great bullpen effort (2.0 innings; two hits; no walks; one earned) and did just enough on offense to get by. This one’s probably another coin flip.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Kansas City Royals -192
