In this article, we will formulate a Dodgers vs Guardians prediction for this MLB game on Wednesday, May 28th at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Dodgers are 34-21 this year after they won the first two games in this series by scores of 7-2 and 9-5. In their game two win, Los Angeles had their lead cut to 4-3 in the fourth inning, but they scored the next five runs to pull away with the win. The Dodgers recorded 13 hits and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Muncy, who went 2-4 with one home run and three RBIs in the win. Los Angeles started May, who allowed four hits and three earned runs over 5.0 innings for the win, while Dreyer and Casparius each picked up a hold.

Prior to this series, the Dodgers lost two out of three against the Mets, but did win two out of three against the Diamondbacks before that. Los Angeles has won five of their last seven games, and they are currently first in the NL West standings. The Los Angeles pitching staff has a 4.03 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP and a .236 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 310 runs with a .264 batting average and a .343 on-base percentage this season. Shohei Ohtani has led LA with 20 home runs and 35 RBIs, while Freddie Freeman has added nine home runs and 35 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Los Angeles is Clayton Kershaw, who is 0-0 with a 7.50 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP over 6.0 innings pitched this year.

Cleveland Guardians Betting Preview

The Cleveland Guardians are 29-25 this season after they lost game two by a score of 9-5 on Tuesday. Cleveland scored three runs in the fourth inning, and they were able to add two more in the ninth inning in the loss. The Guardians recorded six hits and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Schneemann, who went 1-2 with one home run and three RBIs in the loss. Cleveland started Bibee, who allowed seven hits and four earned runs over 5.0 innings for the loss, while Enright allowed two hits and three earned runs in relief.

Prior to this series, the Guardians won three out of four against the Tigers and split two games with the Twins. Cleveland has lost three games in a row, and they are currently third in the AL Central standings. The Cleveland pitching staff has a 4.12 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP and a .255 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 216 runs with a .230 batting average and a .301 on-base percentage this season. Kyle Manzardo has led Cleveland with 10 home runs and 28 RBIs, while Jose Ramirez has added nine home runs and 26 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Cleveland was Slade Cecconi, but he has been scratched, and the new starter is TBD.

Dodgers vs Guardians Prediction

Los Angeles has won the first two games in this series, and they will look for the series sweep in this matchup. The Dodgers are 15-13 on the road this year, while the Guardians are 14-10 at home. Cleveland has lost three games in a row, and they have allowed 21 runs in those three losses. The Guardians haven’t announced their starting pitcher, while LA will go with Kershaw, who has allowed five earned runs and five hits over 6.0 innings in two starts. I don’t really trust Kershaw, and I doubt he will go more than a few innings, but the LA lineup is still way ahead of Cleveland’s. Take the Dodgers here.
