Detroit Tigers Betting Preview

In their last series the Tigers played the Los Angeles Dodgers. Detroit lot 4-3 in the Friday opener of that set then took wins 11-9 and 4-3 in the next pair. After a 5-4 win over the Blue Jays on Friday, in game two the Tigers bagged a 7-3 win.

In the starter slot for the Tigers on Sunday it’ll be Keider Montero. This season Montero is 1-2 with a 5.47 ERA in the first five games (four starts) of his career.

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

Over on the Blue Jays’ side, they took on the Arizona Diamondbacks in their last set. Toronto lot the first two games 5-4 and 12-1 before staving off the sweep with an 8-7 Sunday win. On Saturday the Jays gave up six runs in the sixth inning.

Kevin Gausman will take the mound for the start on Sunday. This year Gausman is 7-8 with a 4.50 ERA in 19 starts. Gausman has a 95-99 career record with a 3.88 ERA in 317 games (278 starts).

Detroit Tigers vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction

I’ll stay with the Blue Jays. Gausman ended June with a rough outing of seven earned in 4.1 innings versus the Yankees. Since then he’s been pretty good though, logging four earned in 13.0 innings over two starts. As for Montero, he’s coming off five earned in 5.0 innings versus the Dodgers but was pitching pretty well before that.

On Saturday the Jays made a stab at a comeback with three runs in the bottom of the sixth but they didn’t get close in the end. Toronto should get a good start from Gausman, though.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Toronto Blue Jays -152
