Cleveland Guardians vs Minnesota Twins Prediction
Game 1 Prediction: It would be nice to know who the Cleveland Guardians are throwing out there for game 1, but it probably doesn’t matter. The Guardians are having a rough week while the losses are piling up and Bailey Ober has been fantastic as of late. In fact, Ober has allowed 8 earned runs in his last 34 innings. Ober has a 3.10 ERA and .208 allowed batting average at home this season. I’ll ride the hot Ober and take the Twins to win game 1 against the Guardians.
Game 2 Prediction: Alex Cobb will make his season debut after dealing with a hip injury. Louie Varland hasn’t been great this season, but he at least has reps under his belt, and he’s allowed just 6 hits and 2 runs in his last 9.1 innings. Varland is showing signs of putting things together. It’s hard to trust Cobb with no appearances this season. Give me the Twins to win game 2 as well, even though sweeping a doubleheader isn’t easy.
