In their last series versus the Chicago Cubs, the Guardians were able to notch a sweep. Cleveland won all three games 9-8, 2-1 and 6-1. In the Friday opener versus the Brewers, Cleveland took a tough loss 5-3. Gavin Williams left after 4.0 innings and five earned runs. In the starter slot for Saturday it’ll be Tanner Bibee. This year in 23 starts Bibee is 10-4 with a 3.39 ERA. In 48 career starts Bibee is 20-8 with a 3.17 ERA.

Over on the Brewers’ side, they took on the Los Angeles Dodgers this week. Milwaukee dropped the first pair of games 5-2 and 7-2 but came back to even it up with wins in the next two. On Friday the Brewers gave up three runs in the eighth but held on for the win. Starter Aaron Civale put up 6.0 clean innings with four hits and one walk.

Freddy Peralta will start for Milwaukee on Saturday. This year Peralta is 7-7 with a 4.11 ERA in 24 starts. In his career Peralta is 49-34 with a 3.88 ERA in 170 games (121 starts).

Cleveland Guardians vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction

I’ll stay with the Guardians. Bibee is rolling along quite nicely lately. In his last three starts Bibee is 2-0 with four earned over 16.2 total innings. As for Peralta, he’s been choppy over his last two starts with eight earned in 11.0 innings.

On Friday the Guardians were down 5-0 after four innings and couldn’t make anything happen outside of the eighth (two homers). Cleveland should start things out well with Bibee on the mound Saturday, but they’ll need the offense to follow along.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Cleveland Guardians -112
