The Reds played the Kansas City Royals in their last series. Cincinnati lost the first two games of that set 7-1 and 13-1. In the finale the Reds took a blowout loss 8-1. Starting pitcher Andrew Abbott gave up four earned in 5.0 innings of work.

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

Over on the Blue Jays’ side, they took on the Chicago Cubs over the weekend. Toronto lost 6-5 and 3-2 in the first two games. On Sunday the Jays eked out a 1-0 victory. Bowden Francis was great on 7.0 innings, three hits, no walks and seven Ks.

As starter for Monday the Blue Jays are going with Kevin Gausman. So far Gausman is 11-8 with a 4.20 ERA in 24 starts. Over 322 career games (283 starts) Gausman is 99-99 with a 3.87 ERA.

Cincinnati Reds vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction

I’ll try the Jays here. Gausman had a rough start versus the Yankees to kick off the month, giving up four earned in 4.2 innings during a no-decision. Since then Gausman has been much better though, logging just two earned in 15.0 innings across a pair of victories.

On Sunday the Blue Jays got their only run from a Joey Loperfido solo homer in the second inning and held on for the victory thanks to a nice pitching effort. Toronto only has three combined runs over the last two games though, so it’d be nice to see them get the bats going better on Monday.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Toronto Blue Jays -185
