I’ll stay with the Royals. That said I’m not touching it due to the thick line—Lugo needs a bounce-back start, too. In his last outing Lugo posted five earned in 5.0 innings during his second straight loss. Prior to that Lugo had just two earned in 12.0 innings, though. As for Thorpe, he’s been pretty good lately with five earned over his last 18.1 innings.
On Saturday the Royals got 7.0 clean frames from starter Brady Singer. The offense had a couple of big performances as well and the pitching really stood out. KC should continue to roll here, but I could see taking the Sox on a value play.
