In this article, we will formulate a Brewers vs Reds prediction for this MLB game on Monday, June 2nd at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview

The Milwaukee Brewers are 32-28 this year after they won all three games against the Phillies by scores of 6-2, 17-7, and 5-2. In their game three win, the Brewers trailed 2-0 after the second inning, but they scored the last five runs in the game to complete the series sweep. The Brewers recorded nine hits in the game and they were led by Bauers, who went 1-1 with two RBIs in the win. Milwaukee started Quintana, who allowed four hits and two earned runs over 5.0 innings, while Mears recorded the win out of the bullpen.

Prior to that series, the Brewers swept the Red Sox in three games and split four games with the Pirates. Milwaukee has won seven games in a row and they are currently third in the NL Central standings. The Milwaukee pitching staff has a 3.98 ERA with a 1.32 WHIP and a .242 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 274 runs with a .240 batting average and a .317 on base percentage this season. Christian Yelich has led Milwaukee with 12 home runs and 39 RBIs, while Rhys Hoskins has added nine home runs and 35 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Milwaukee is Aaron Civale, who is 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP over 12.0 innings pitched this year.

Cincinnati Reds Betting Preview

The Cincinnati Reds are 29-31 this season after they lost two out of three against the Cubs by scores of 6-2, 0-2, and 3-7. In their game three loss, Cincinnati cut the deficit to 5-2 in the sixth inning, but allowed the next two runs to seal the loss. The Reds recorded four hits and they committed two errors in the game, while they were led by De La Cruz, who went 2-3 with one home run and two RBIs in the loss. Cincinnati started Martinez, who allowed seven hits and five earned runs over 4.2 innings for the loss, while Suter, Richardson, and Rogers combined to allow zero earned runs over 3.1 innings in relief.

Prior to that series, the Reds won two out of three against the Royals, but lost two out of three against the Cubs before that. Cincinnati has lost three of their last four games and they are currently fourth in the NL Central standings. The Cincinnati pitching staff has a 3.75 ERA with a 1.21 WHIP and a .231 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 273 runs with a .245 batting average and a .319 on base percentage this season. Elly De La Cruz has led Cincinnati with 12 home runs and 42 RBIs, while Matt McLain has added six home runs and 18 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Cincinnati is Brady Singer, who is 6-3 with a 4.60 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP over 58.2 innings pitched this season.

Brewers vs Reds Prediction

Milwaukee comes into this series looking to extend their seven game winning streak and they have scored five runs or more in five straight games. The Brewers are 14-18 on the road this year, while the Reds are 14-14 at home. Cincinnati has lost three of their last four games and they have scored a total of five runs in those three losses. The Reds are starting Singer, who has allowed two earned runs in back to back outings. The Brewers are going with Civale, who has allowed eight earned runs and 11 hits over 12.0 innings this year. I don’t love either pitcher in this game, but I do think Singer is the better option. Take the Reds here.
