In this article, we will formulate a Brewers vs Cardinals prediction for this MLB game on Saturday, April 26th at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview

The Milwaukee Brewers are 13-14 this year after they lost game one in this series by a score of 3-2 on Friday night. Milwaukee allowed the first three runs in the game, but they did score two late, before coming up short in the comeback attempt. The Brewers recorded nine hits and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Bauers and Yelich, who both had one RBI in the loss. Milwaukee started Patrick, who allowed four hits and two earned runs over 4.1 innings for the loss, while Alexander allowed three hits and one earned run in 1.0 relief inning.

Prior to this series, the Brewers lost three out of four against the Giants, but did win two out of three against the Athletics before that. Milwaukee has lost four of its last five games, and they are currently third in the NL Central standings. The Milwaukee pitching staff has a 4.20 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP and a .239 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 134 runs with a .246 batting average and a .319 on-base percentage this season. Jackson Chourio has led Milwaukee with five home runs and 20 RBIs, while Christian Yelich has added five home runs and 21 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Milwaukee is Quinn Priester, who is 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP over 14.0 innings pitched this year.

St. Louis Cardinals Betting Preview

The St. Louis Cardinals are 11-15 this season after they won game one in this series. St. Louis jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the game, and the bullpen was able to barely hang on for the win. The Cardinals recorded nine hits and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Nootbaar, Donovan, and Gorman, who all had one RBI in the win. St. Louis started Liberatore, who allowed five hits and one earned run over 6.0 innings in the win, while Helsley picked up the save in the ninth.

Prior to this series, the Cardinals lost two out of three against the Braves and were swept in four games against the Mets. Lars Nootbaar has led St. Louis with four home runs, 15 RBIs, and three stolen bases, while Brendan Donovan has added three home runs and 14 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for St. Louis is Sonny Gray, who is 3-0 with a 3.41 ERA and a 0.86 WHIP over 29.0 innings pitched this season.

Brewers vs Cardinals Prediction

St. Louis was able to pick up a much-needed win in game one of this series on Friday night, and they are 9-4 at home. Milwaukee has lost three games in a row, and they are just 4-10 on the road this year. Neither team is playing very well over the last two series, but I am going with the Cardinals to get another win here. I like Sonny Gray on the mound, and he has done a very good job of limiting baserunners so far this season. Take St. Louis to win here.
