The Boston Red Sox and the Texas Rangers meet Saturday in MLB action from Globe Life Field. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Boston Red Sox vs Texas Rangers Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Boston Red Sox will trot out Tanner Houck for the start here and Houck is 8-7 with a 2.79 ERA and 116 strikeouts this season. This will be Houck’s second career start against Texas. The Texas Rangers did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted.

Boston Red Sox Recap

The Boston Red Sox come into this one looking to build some momentum after starting the series with an 11-6 win over the Rangers in Friday’s series opener. The win put the Red Sox in a good spot to push for back-to-back series wins after a series win over the Mariners to start the week.

Texas Rangers Recap

The Texas Rangers will try to rebound after ending up with a frustrating loss in Friday’s series opener. The loss put the Rangers at risk of a third straight series loss after falling short against the Cardinals and Blue Jays over the last week.

Rangers Trying To Cling To Life In AL West Race

Boston Red Sox vs Texas Rangers Prediction

I’m on the Red Sox in this one. Houck hasn’t been great, but the thing here is that the Rangers are in free fall. The Rangers have not looked anything close to a team that’s serious about defending their World Series title. Sure, injuries have played a part in that, but at a certain point, and I think 110 games in is a fair point, the excuses have to stop and you have to deliver and the Rangers simply haven’t been able to. Boston plays their best ball on the road and have kept the offense rolling and I think they do it again here. Give me Boston.
