Over on the Royals’ side, they played the Detroit Tigers over the weekend. Kansas City won two of the first three games, then in the finale the Royals came back from a 2-0 deficit in a 3-2 victory. Starter Michael Wacha had 6.0 innings with both earned runs.

In the starter slot for Monday the Royals are going with Brady Singer. This year Singer is 8-6 with a 2.88 ERA in 22 starts. Singer is 35-37 with a 4.17 career ERA in 117 games (114 starts). The Royals will take on the Cardinals after this series.

Boston Red Sox vs Kansas City Royals Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Royals. Singer is chugging along nicely these days. Over his last three starts, he’s 3-0 with 7.0 innings in each and three combined earned runs (all in one start). Singer has given up 13 hits and four walks in those 21.0 innings. He should be good to go Monday.

On Sunday Kansas City notched three runs in the top of the ninth inning to help seal the comeback victory, but things were pretty quiet before that. It’d be nice to see the Royals give Singer a little early help this time.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Kansas City Royals -130
