Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

The Toronto Blue Jays are 62-42 this year after they won the first two games in this series by scores of 11-4 and 6-2. In their game two win, Toronto trailed 1-0 in the second inning, but they scored the next six runs to pull away with the victory. Toronto started Berrios, who allowed five hits and two earned runs over 6.0 innings for the win, while Fisher, Little, and Rodriguez closed out the game.

Prior to this series, the Blue Jays won two out of three against the Yankees and all three against the Giants. Toronto has won seven of their last eight games and they are currently first in the AL East standings. The Toronto pitching staff has a 4.07 ERA with a 1.24 WHIP and a .237 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 491 runs with a .262 batting average and a .333 on base percentage this season. Detroit Tigers Betting Preview

The Detroit Tigers are 60-45 this season after they dropped another game on Friday night by a score of 6-2. Detroit jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but they only scored once over the last seven innings in the loss. The Tigers recorded five hits and they committed two errors in the game, while they were led by Dingler and Torkelson, who both had one RBI in the loss. Detroit started Montero, who allowed nine hits and five earned runs over 4.0 innings for the loss, while Hurter threw two scoreless innings in relief.

Blue Jays vs Tigers Prediction

These two teams come into this matchup trending in opposite directions, as Toronto is looking like one of the top teams in the MLB right now. The Blue Jays are 25-25 on the road this year, while the Tigers are 32-20 at home. Detroit is desperately trying to break out of this funk and they are starting Skubal, who has allowed one earned run or fewer in three of his last four starts. Toronto is going with Gausman, who has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four of his last five. I know Skubal is one of the best in the MLB, but we are getting a great price on Toronto against a Detroit team that is in a bad place right now. Take the Jays here.
