In this article, we will formulate a Blue Jays vs Angels prediction for this MLB game on Tuesday, May 6th at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

The Toronto Blue Jays are 16-18 this year after they lost two out of three against the Guardians by scores of 5-3, 3-5, and 4-5. In their game three loss, Toronto trailed 4-0 in the fourth inning, but they cut the deficit to 4-3, before allowing the winning run in the top of the ninth for the loss. The Blue Jays recorded seven hits in the game, and they were led by Gimenez, who went 2-4 with two RBIs in the loss. Toronto started Francis, who allowed six hits and four earned runs over 4.1 innings for the loss, while Rodriguez allowed one hit and one earned run over 1.1 relief innings.

Prior to that series, the Blue Jays won two out of three against the Red Sox, but did lose two out of three against the Yankees before that. Toronto has lost five of its last eight games, and they are currently fourth in the AL East standings. The Toronto pitching staff has a 4.24 ERA with a 1.24 WHIP and a .238 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 120 runs with a .238 batting average and a .310 on-base percentage this season. Vladimir Guerrero has led Toronto with four home runs and 18 RBIs, while Andres Gimenez has added three home runs and 10 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Toronto is TBD.

Los Angeles Angels Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Angels are 13-20 this season after they lost three out of four against the Tigers by scores of 4-10, 1-9, 5-2, and 1-13. In their game four loss, LA allowed the first 11 runs in the game, but did score in the seventh to avoid the shutout. The Angels recorded five hits in the game, and they were led by Neto, who went 2-5 with one RBI in the loss. Los Angeles started Kochanowicz, who allowed seven hits and five earned runs over 5.0 innings for the loss, while Darrell-Hicks, Fermin, and Toussaint combined to allow eight earned runs out of the bullpen.

Prior to that series, the Angels lost both games against the Mariners and all three against the Twins. Los Angeles has lost eight of their last nine games, and they are currently last in the AL West standings. The Los Angeles pitching staff has a 5.36 ERA with a 1.49 WHIP and a .273 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 117 runs with a .214 batting average and a .269 on-base percentage this season. Logan O’Hoppe has led LA with nine home runs and 15 RBIs, while Jorge Soler has added six home runs and 13 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Los Angeles is Tyler Anderson, who is 2-0 with a 2.67 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP over 33.2 innings pitched this season.

Blue Jays vs Angels Prediction

Los Angeles comes into this matchup playing very poorly over the last two weeks, and their pitching staff has allowed at least nine runs in four of their last five games. The Angels are 6-7 at home this year, and they are starting Anderson, who has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four of his last five starts. Toronto is just 5-10 on the road so far this year, and their offense has been a huge disappointment. I really don’t like how the Angels have been blown out in recent games, but I think Anderson can provide a solid outing and give them a chance to win. Take the Angels here.
