The Baltimore Orioles and the Tampa Bay Rays will meet on Sunday afternoon in the second game of a three game American League East series at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland.

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

The Baltimore Orioles enter Sunday’s contest with a 59–63 overall record (5th in the American League East) and a 32–30 mark at home. The Orioles offense has been inconsistent this season. Baltimore has compiled 553 runs scored (14th in MLB), 177 doubles, 147 home runs and a .236 team batting average which ranks a rather low 26th in Major League Baseball.

The Orioles arrive at tomorrow night’s game in above average form. Baltimore has won three of the team’s last four games played this season, including a 5–2 victory over the Minnesota Twins earlier this week.

Baltimore will turn to left hander Trevor Rogers in this game. In 22 starts made this season, Rogers has compiled a 7-8 win loss record, a 4.21 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP, and 102 strikeouts in 107.0 innings pitched. Trevor Rogers arrives at this contest in good form, allowing two earned runs or fewer in eight of his last nine starts made in 2026. Rogers will look to continue his recent success on the mound in tomorrow’s matchup with the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Baltimore Orioles lineup features first baseman Pete Alonso and shortstop Gunnar Henderson. Pete Alonso leads the team with 27 home runs (13th in MLB), 22 doubles, 61 walks, 78 RBIs (9th in MLB) and an .843 OPS. Gunnar Henderson enters this contest with 20 home runs, 21 doubles, 50 walks and a .705 OPS.

Tampa Bay Ray Betting Preview

The Tampa Bay Rays enter Sunday’s matchup with a 74–48 overall record (1st in the American League East) and a robust 41–20 mark on the road. Tampa Bay has played subpar baseball recently, losing the team’s last two games played, including a 6–5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles two days ago.

Tampa Bay will start right hander Freddy Peralta in tomorrow’s game. In 24 starts made in 2026, Peralta has compiled a 5–9 record, a 5.33 ERA, a 1.50 WHIP, and 121 strikeouts in 110.1 innings pitched. Peralta has struggled recently, allowing seven earned runs or more in two of his last four starts made this season.

The Tampa Bay Rays have compiled a formidable lineup featuring first baseman Yandy Diaz and third baseman Junior Caminero. Yandy Diaz enters this contest with a .303 batting average (8th in MLB), 17 home runs, 69 RBIs and an .834 OPS. Junior Caminero has tallied a .275 batting average and a .910 OPS which ranks 20th in the MLB.

Why the Baltimore Orioles will win.

• Ability to win on the road. The Orioles have amassed a respectable 32-30 record away from home.

• Starting pitching. Trevor Rogers has compiled a 7-8 win-loss record, a 4.21 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP, and 102 strikeouts in 107.0 innings pitched.

• Current form. The Baltimore Orioles have won three of the team’s last four games.

Why the Tampa Bay Rays will win.

• Road stability. Tampa Bay has played competitive baseball (27–29) away from home this season.

• Offensive balance. Yandy Díaz and Junior Caminero provide a strong core to the Rays lineup.

• Motivation. The Tampa Bay Rays arrive at this contest on the heels of a two-game winning streak.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Tampa Bay Rays Prediction

In my opinion, this matchup favors the Baltimore Orioles staying within the number (1.5) with the upside of winning the contest outright. Why? Baltimore starting pitcher Trevor Rogers arrives at this contest in good form, allowing two earned runs or fewer in eight of his last nine starts made in 2026. Conversely, Tampa Bay hurler Freddy Peralta has struggled recently, allowing seven earned runs or more in two of his last four starts made this season. With that said, I am backing the Baltimore Orioles plus the 1.5 runs in this game.

Hans Geevers's Pick: Baltimore Orioles +1.5
