The Baltimore Orioles and the Detroit Tigers will meet on Tuesday night in the second game of a three‑game American League series at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan.

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

The Baltimore Orioles enter Tuesday’s contest with a 52–55 overall record (4th in the American League East) and a 23–28 mark on the road. The Orioles offense has been competitive to this point in the season. Baltimore has compiled 491 runs scored (11th in MLB), 163 doubles, a .238 team batting average and 127 home runs which ranks 13th in Major League Baseball.

The Orioles arrive at tonight’s game in above average form. Baltimore has won three of the team’s last five games played this season, including a thrilling 3–2 victory over the Atlanta Braves earlier this week.

Baltimore will turn to right hander Dean Kremer in this contest. In six starts made this season, Kremer has compiled a 1–3 win‑loss record, a 5.06 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and 34 strikeouts, while allowing 30 hits and 8 walks in 32 innings pitched. Dean Kremer has struggled recently, allowing four or more earned runs in two of his last three starts made in 2026. Kramer will look to bounce back from his recent inconsistency on the mound in tomorrow’s matchup with the Detroit Tigers.

The Baltimore Orioles lineup features first baseman Pete Alonso and outfielder Taylor Ward. Pete Alonso leads the team with 22 home runs (15th in MLB), 21 doubles, 55 walks, 67 RBIs (13th in MLB) and an .815 OPS. Taylor Ward enters this contest with a .251 batting average, 7 home runs and a .740 OPS.

Detroit Tigers Betting Preview

The Detroit Tigers enter Tuesday night’s matchup with a 50–57 overall record (4th in the American League Central) and a 29–26 mark at home. Detroit arrives at this contest in poor form. The Tigers have lost three consecutive games, including a 3-2 loss to the Kanas City Royals two day ago.

Detroit will start right hander Troy Melton in today’s game. In ten starts made this season, Melton has compiled a 5-1 record, a 1.95 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP and 55 strikeouts, while allowing 38 hits and 19 walks in 60 innings pitched.

Shifting our focus to the Tigers offense, the Detroit lineup features catcher Dillon Dingler and outfielder Riley Greene. Dillon Dingler has amassed 22 home runs (15th in MLB), 68 RBIs (11th in MLB), 22 doubles, 26 walks and an .868 OPS. Riley Greene has compiled a robust .281 batting average, 15 home runs, 23 doubles, 54 walks, 52 RBIs and an .832 OPS.

Why the Baltimore Orioles will win.

• Offensive balance. Pete Alonso and Taylor Ward lead the Baltimore Orioles lineup.

• Starting pitching. In six starts made this season, Dean Kremer has compiled a 1–3 win‑loss record, a 5.06 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and 34 strikeouts in 32 innings pitched.

Why the Detroit Tigers will win.

• Home field edge. Detroit has played quality baseball at Comerica Park this season.

• Starting pitching. In ten starts made this season, Troy Melton has compiled a 5-1 record, a 1.95 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP and 55 strikeouts, while allowing 38 hits and 19 walks in 60 innings pitched.

• Enhanced motivation. The Detroit Tigers arrive at this contest on the heels of a three-game losing streak.

Baltimore Orioles Guardians vs. Detroit Tigers Prediction

In my opinion, this matchup favors the Detroit Tigers. Why? Colorado starting pitcher Troy Melton has compiled a 5-1 record, a 1.95 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP and 55 strikeouts  in 60 innings pitched. Conversely, Baltimore hurler Dean Dean Kremer has struggled recently, allowing four or more earned runs in two of his last three starts made in 2026. With that said, the Tigers are the clear side to be on in this one. I am backing the Detroit Tigers on the moneyline in this game.
