The Atlanta Braves and the San Francisco Giants square off Tuesday in MLB action from Oracle Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s an Atlanta Braves vs San Francisco Giants Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Atlanta Braves will send out Charlie Morton for the start here and Morton is 6-7 with a 4.47 ERA and 112 strikeouts this season. In his last five starts against San Francisco, Morton is 0-3 with a 3.64 ERA and 34 strikeouts. Atlanta Braves Recap

The Atlanta Braves will come into this one looking to build some momentum after starting the series with a 1-0 win over the Giants in Monday’s series opener. The win put the Braves in a good spot to rebound from series losses to the Rockies, Marlins and Brewers over the month of August so far.

Braves Trying To Chase Down Phillies In NL East

Entering Monday, Marcell Ozuna leads the Braves with 132 hits including 35 home runs and 90 RBIs while Orlando Arcia has 19 doubles and Ozzie Albies has a team-high 28 doubles, logging 93 hits as well this season. Ronald Acuna Jr. has a team-high 16 stolen bases as well this season but is out for the season with a torn ACL. Matt Olson has 24 doubles, 20 home runs and 61 RBIs with a team-high 137 strikeouts and Austin Riley has 26 doubles with a pair of triples.

Why the Atlanta Braves will win

San Francisco Giants Recap

The San Francisco Giants will try to rebound after falling short in Monday’s opener, putting the Giants’ series win streak in jeopardy after taking out the Tigers, Nationals and Reds in the month of August so far.

Giants Looking To Sneak Into Wild Card

Going into Monday, Thairo Estrada has 71 hits along with 9 home runs and 43 RBIs while also chipping in 14 doubles. Michael Conforto has 75 hits with 12 home runs, 22 doubles and 50 RBIs while Matt Chapman has 110 hits of his own alongside 30 doubles with 19 homers, 60 RBIs and 12 stolen bases. Chapman also has the dubious distinction of leading the Giants with 120 strikeouts this season. Heliot Ramos has 17 home runs and 56 RBIs as well this year.

Why the San Francisco Giants will win

Atlanta Braves vs San Francisco Giants Prediction

I’m on the Braves in this one. I get the reasoning for backing the Giants at home as they’ve been playing the better baseball and the Braves struggled against another lefty on Monday in Blake Snell, but Kyle Harrison is not Blake Snell and Harrison’s been getting roughed up a lot in recent outings. I think that the Braves still have a solid lineup and need to hold their own against teams around them in the wild card hunt and I think they get a huge win here as well. Give me the Braves.
