In this article we will formulate a Athletics vs Blue Jays prediction for this MLB game on Saturday, March 28th at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Athletics Betting Preview

The Athletics are 0-1 this season after they lost game one by a score of 3-2 on Friday night. The Athletics led 1-0 in the fourth inning, but didn’t score again until the ninth, before losing in the bottom half of that inning. The A’s recorded three hits in the game and they were led by Langeliers, who went 3-4 with two home runs and two RBIs in the game. Severino allowed three hits and two earned runs over 5.0 innings, while Sterner allowed three hits and one earned run for the loss.

Last season, the Athletics had a 4.70 ERA with a 1.36 WHIP and a .252 opponent batting average, while they scored 733 runs with a .253 batting average and a .318 on base percentage. Tyler Soderstrom led the A’s with 25 home runs and 93 RBIs, while Brent Rooker added 30 home runs and 89 RBIs. The projected starting pitcher for the Athletics is Jeffrey Springs, who went 11-11 with a 4.11 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP over 171.0 innings pitched last season.

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

The Toronto Blue Jays are 1-0 this year after they won in dramatic fashion on Friday night by a score of 3-2. Toronto took a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning, but they blew the save in the ninth, before getting a walk-off single from Gimenez for the win. The Blue Jays recorded seven hits in the game and they were led by Gimenez, who went 2-3 with three RBIs in the win. Gausman allowed one hit and one earned run over 6.0 innings for a no decision, while Hoffman blew the save, but picked up the win. Last season, Toronto had a 4.19 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP and a .241 opponent batting average, while they scored 798 runs with a .265 batting average and a .333 on base percentage. Bo Bichette (now on the Mets) led the team with 18 home runs and 94 RBIs, while Vladimir Guerrero added 23 home runs and 84 RBIs. The projected starting pitcher for Toronto is Dylan Cease, who went 8-12 with a 4.55 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP over 168.0 innings pitched last year.

Athletics vs Blue Jays Prediction

Toronto was able to get the win to start their season on Friday night, but they will look for more offense here. The Blue Jays are starting Cease, who had a rough 2025, so I am interested to see if he bounces back. The Athletics are also looking for more offense and they will start Springs, who was decent at times last season, but finished with an ERA over four. I think this is a game that could go either way, so I will side with the A’s and the plus money.
