Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

The Minnesota Twins are 7-14 this season after they lost game two in this series by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. Minnesota led 1-0 in the first and 3-2 in the sixth, but they allowed the last two runs in the game for the loss. Prior to this series, the Twins won two out of three against the Mets, but did lose two out of three against the Tigers before that. Atlanta Braves Betting Preview

The Atlanta Braves are 7-13 this year and they have won the first two games in this series by scores of 6-4 and 4-3. In that game two win, the Braves scored two runs in the sixth inning to erase a 3-2 deficit and escape with the win. Atlanta recorded 12 hits in the game and they were led by Olson, who went 2-3 with two RBIs and a walk in the win. The Braves started Sale, who allowed six hits and two earned runs over 4.1 innings, while Johnson picked up the win in relief and Iglesias grabbed the save.

Prior to this series, the Braves lost two out of three against the Blue Jays and two out of three against the Rays. Atlanta has won three of their last five games and they are currently last in the NL East standings. The Atlanta pitching staff has a 4.36 ERA with a 1.32 WHIP and a .244 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 71 runs with a .229 batting average and a .307 on base percentage this year. Twins vs Braves Prediction

Atlanta comes into this matchup looking to clinch a series sweep, which would be huge for the last place team in the NL East. The Braves are 5-2 at home this year, while the Twins are 3-9 on the road. Minnesota has actually had some pretty solid pitching this year and they are starting Joe Ryan, who has allowed one earned run or fewer in three of his four starts. On the other side, Grant Holmes will be on the mound, who has been inconsistent through three starts this year. I don’t love backing this Minnesota offense, but I will take Joe Ryan and the Twins here.
