- The Red Sox have covered the run line in eight of their last 10 games against teams that held a winning record.

Why the St. Louis Cardinals will win

- The Cardinals have won each of their last four games as underdogs.
- The Red Sox have failed to cover the run line in each of their last seven games against National League opponents.

St. Louis Cardinals vs Boston Red Sox Prediction
The Cardinals are off to a solid start through six games, but they’re just not a team I trust to continue the success. The Red Sox are coming off two nice road wins over the Orioles to kind of right the ship, and now they come home for their opening day home game. Rafael Devers is hitting the ball again and Fenway is sure to have some juice on Friday afternoon. Buehler also can’t pitch any worse than he did in his season debut, and I’m sure he wants to make a good impression for his new team. It’s been a struggle for Buehler in his last 17 games, and he’s shown in past years he’s better than that. I’ll lay the reasonable price with the Red Sox at home.
