In their last series versus the Chicago Cubs, Cleveland cruised to a sweep with wins 9-8, 2-1 and 6-1. The opener versus the Brewers was a loss however, as the Guardians fell 5-3 Friday. In Saturday’s matchup, Cleveland took a loss 2-1. Tanner Bibee managed 5.0 innings and one earned run in the start.
Ben Lively will start the game for the Guardians on Sunday. So far this year Lively is 10-7 with a 3.71 ERA in 21 starts. Over 66 career games (53 starts) Lively is 18-24 with a 4.57 ERA.
Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview
Over on the Brewers’ side, they took on the Los Angeles Dodgers this week. Milwaukee lost the first two games of that set before coming back for wins 5-4 and 6-4 in the remaining pair. On Saturday the Brewers got a solo homer from William Contreras. Starter Freddy Peralta lasted 6.0 innings with one earned run.
It’ll be Colin Rea in the starter role for the Brewers on Sunday. This year Rea is 10-4 with a 3.72 ERA and 103 strikeouts.

Cleveland Guardians vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction
I’ll probably just stick with the Guardians. Lively does need a better outing than his last two, though. In that pair Lively is 0-1 with seven earned runs in 8.2 innings on nine hits and eight walks. Lively did notch 6.0 innings and two earned in a win over Baltimore on August 1, though.
On Saturday the Guardians were only able to post four hits, but also gave up only four on the mound. Cleveland needs to get it together on offense Sunday but I think the pitching will hold up.
