The Cleveland Guardians and the Minnesota Twins meet Saturday in MLB action from Target Field. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Cleveland Guardians vs Minnesota Twins Prediction.
Starting Pitching Matchup
The Cleveland Guardians will start Gavin Williams here and Williams is 1-4 with a 4.91 ERA and 39 strikeouts this season. In his career, Williams is 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 4 strikeouts against Minnesota. Cleveland Guardians Recap
The Cleveland Guardians will try to bounce back and try to salvage a split from the rest of the series after being swept in Friday’s double-header by a final score of 4-2 in game one and 6-3 in game two. That extended the losing streak to 7 games for the Guardians and puts them at risk of a third straight winless series after splitting with the Orioles and being swept by the Diamondbacks in the month of August so far.
Guardians Still Clinging To AL Central Lead
Going into Friday’s matchup, Jose Ramirez leads the Guardians with 124 hits as well as 30 home runs and 96 RBIs while Josh Naylor also has 25 home runs and 82 RBIs along with 18 doubles of his own. Ramirez has a team-high 25 doubles while Tyler Freeman has 14 doubles and Andres Gimenez has 47 RBIs with 16 stolen bases while the aforementioned Ramirez has a team-high 25 stolen bases on the year. Steven Kwan is also hitting .332 with 117 hits and 14 doubles this season.

Cleveland Guardians vs Minnesota Twins Prediction
I’m on the Twins here. I get why the plus money with the Guardians is tempting, as Cleveland has one of the best bullpens in baseball. However, it just feels like the Twins are on a mission right now and smell blood in the water against a vulnerable Guardians team. Extended losing skids are a rarity for the Guardians, but Minnesota’s on a roll, and I think they keep it going here. Give me Minnesota in this one.
