The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Pirates meet Thursday in MLB action from PNC Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a LA Dodgers vs Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction.
Starting Pitching Matchup
The Los Angeles Dodgers will send out Walker Buehler for the start here and Buehler is 1-3 with a 4.32 ERA and 24 strikeouts this season. In his career, Buehler is 2-0 with a 2.37 ERA and 15 strikeouts against Pittsburgh. Bailey Falter will get the start for the Pirates and is 3-2 with a 3.22 ERA and 38 strikeouts this season. This will be Falter’s first career start against the Dodgers.
Los Angeles Dodgers Recap
The Los Angeles Dodgers come into this one looking to avoid the sweep after a 10-6 loss to the Pirates in Wednesday’s matchup. The Dodgers will still take the series loss, snapping their run of back-to-back series wins after knocking off the Rockies and Mets over the last week.

Shohei Ohtani has 77 hits including a team-high 15 home runs, 17 doubles and 40 RBIs with a .322 batting average while Mookie Betts has 76 hits with 14 doubles, 3 triples, 9 homers and 32 RBIs of his own. Teoscar Hernandez also has 12 home runs with 38 RBIs and a team-high 78 strikeouts. Betts also has 9 stolen bases while Ohtani has a team-high 14 stolen bases. Freddie Freeman also has 35 RBIs with 17 doubles and Will Smith has added 16 doubles, 9 home runs and 38 RBIs.

Pittsburgh Pirates Recap
The Pittsburgh Pirates will be looking to complete the sweep of the Dodgers after Wednesday’s win, and the series win snaps a winless run of series after losing their series with the Blue Jays last weekend.

LA Dodgers vs Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction
I’m looking at the Pirates here. The Pirates have had an answer for the Dodgers for the better part of this series and it’s not like the Dodgers’ offense has been lighting the world on fire lately. Not only that, Walker Buehler’s yet to really look dominant in any of his starts this season as he’s usually been good to give up 3 or 4 runs any time he takes the mound. On the other side, the Pirates are 4-1 in Falter’s starts at home this season and I think there’s just too much value to pass on with the Pirates here.
