Detroit Tigers Betting Preview
The Tigers took on the Boston Red Sox in a four-game series over the weekend. Detroit managed a split in that one, winning 5-0 Thursday and 8-4 in the Sunday finale. On Monday versus the Rangers the Tigers eked out a 2-1 victory. Starting pitcher Tarik Skubal posted 6.0 innings with one earned on seven hits and two walks.
It’ll be Jack Flaherty in the starting pitcher role for the Tigers on Tuesday. This year Flaherty is 2-4 with a 3.46 ERA and 90 Ks in 67.2 innings over 11 starts. Flaherty is 44-38 with a 3.72 ERA in 142 career games (136 starts).
Texas Rangers Betting Preview
Over on the Rangers’ side, they played the Miami Marlins in their last series. Texas took an 8-2 loss in the opener of that set but did well in the weekend games with wins 7-0 and 6-0. On Monday the Rangers out-hit Detroit 8-4 but couldn’t get much going on the scoreboard. Nathan Eovaldi lasted 5.2 innings as starter with one earned on three hits and no walks.
As starter for Tuesday’s game the Rangers will send out Dane Dunning. This year Dunning is 4-3 with a 3.94 ERA and 53 Ks in 45.2 innings over nine starts. Dunning is 27-28 with a 4.14 ERA in 107 games (96 starts).

Detroit Tigers vs Texas Rangers Prediction
I’ll try the Tigers here. Flaherty should be able to put Detroit into a good position if all goes well. Earlier this month Flaherty put up five earned runs on 12 hits and three walks over 12.1 combined innings in a pair of starts, going 1-1. He’s coming off 6.2 clean frames on one hit and one walk versus the Red Sox on May 30, though.
On Monday the Tigers got a pair of solo blasts from Jake Rogers in the low-scoring win but there wasn’t much else happening on offense. Thankfully Skubal and Beau Brieske (3.0 innings; one hit; no walks; four Ks) were in charge on the mound. Flaherty should be okay as well, but Detroit has to get the bats going.
