Texas Rangers Betting Preview

The Rangers took on the Arizona Diamondbacks in their last series. Texas was able to win both of those games, taking Tuesday’s matchup 4-2 and Wednesday’s 6-1. After an 8-2 loss to the Marlins on Friday, in game two the Rangers posted a 7-0 shutout win. Michael Lorenzen went 5.1 innings in the start with five hits and two walks.

Miami Marlins Betting Preview

Over on the Marlins’ side, they played the San Diego Padres this week. Miami lost 2-1 and 4-0 in the first two games of that set but staved off the sweep with a 9-1 win on Wednesday. In Saturday’s game the Marlins gave up 13 team hits in a rough showing. Starting pitcher Ryan Weathers struck out 11 in 6.0 innings with nine hits and four earned runs.

It’ll be Trevor Rogers on the mound for Miami on Sunday. This year Rogers is 1-6 with a 5.65 ERA in 11 games. Rogers has 44 strikeouts over 51.0 innings total. In 70 career starts Rogers is 14-29 with a 4.35 ERA.

I’ll stick with the Marlins, but I’m probably staying away. Rogers had a shaky outing versus the Brewers back on May 21 with four earned runs in 3.2 innings. He was able to bounce back in his last outing though, notching one earned in 5.1 innings versus the Padres. As for Heaney, he’s given up five earned runs over his last 9.1 innings.

On Saturday the Marlins had a pretty rough day on the mound and at the plate. No one got multiple hits, but Miami had a good amount baserunners throughout the game. Sunday is going to require a sizable bounce-back effort on both sides, but I think the Marlins have a shot.
