Chicago Cubs vs St. Louis Cardinals Prediction

I’ll probably lean toward the Cubs, but I’m also probably staying away. Taillon hasn’t been at his best over the last two starts. In that pair Taillon is 0-2 with five earned runs on 13 hits and five walks over 8.2 frames total. He did get a win on May 4 versus the Brewers with 6.0 clean frames, though. As for Mikolas, he’s given up four earned in his last 11.0 innings.

In their latest loss on Thursday, the Cubs couldn’t get anything going on four team hits (two by Seiya Suzuki). That makes two or fewer runs in four of the last five games. Chicago is going to need to do better than that on offense here.
