In the Wednesday rubber match the Jays bagged a 9-2 win with 10 team hits. Toronto scored a whopping seven runs in the second inning alone.

Over on the Tigers’ side, they took on the Kansas City Royals this week. Detroit lost 8-3 Monday and 10-3 in game two. In the finale Wednesday the Tigers gave up four runs in the seventh inning to cap off an 8-3 loss. Tarik Skubal finished on 5.0 innings in the start with four earned, six hits and two walks.

Toronto Blue Jays vs Detroit Tigers Prediction

I’ll try the Tigers here. Probably not touching it, though. Flaherty has pitched well over his last trio, but he’s just 1-2 to show for it. In that time Flaherty has notched a total of seven earned runs in 18.2 total innings on 18 hits and three walks. He’ll need a bit of offensive support, but Flaherty should be able to hold things together while he’s out there.

On Wednesday the Tigers had some late life on offense but couldn’t come back from the early hole. I like Detroit to regroup and play a little better Thursday.
