In the Sunday finale the Cardinals couldn’t get the sweep with a blowout loss 11-3. Starter Matthew Liberatore put up 3.0 innings, four earned, six hits and a walk.
It’ll be Sonny Gray on the mound in the starting pitcher slot for the Cardinals on Monday. This year Gray is 5-2 with a 3.05 ERA in seven starts. He’s got 53 Ks in 41.1 innings. Gray is 103-87 with a 3.46 ERA in 286 career games (277 starts).

Baltimore Orioles vs St. Louis Cardinals Prediction
I’ll take a stab on the Cardinals. Gray certainly needs a bounce-back start, though. In his last pair of outings Gray is 1-1 with 11.0 innings, 11 earned runs, 15 hits and three walks combined. Gray put up a nice start May 3 versus the White Sox though, notching 7.0 clean frames with three hits and a walk.
On Sunday the Cardinals had a rough stretch of innings in the middle of the game when things got out of hand. Every pitcher gave up at least two earned runs; it was a wild performance on the mound all around. St. Louis is going to need a much better effort on Monday.
