Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

The Twins took on the New York Yankees in their last series. Minnesota struggled against a surging team in that one, losing in a sweep 5-1, 4-0 and 5-0. The Twins took another loss versus Cleveland 3-2 on Friday. In Saturday’s game two, the Twins took a wild 11-4 loss. Starting pitcher Bailey Ober finished with 4.0 innings, five earned, eight hits and one walk.

In the starter slot for the Sunday finale the Twins will send out Chris Paddack. This year Paddack is 4-2 with a 4.89 ERA and 41 Ks in 42.1 innings over eight starts. Paddack is 26-23 with a 4.29 ERA in 76 career games (73 starts).

On Saturday Cleveland had a whopping 16 hits in the victory. Logan Allen lasted 6.0 clean frames with five hits, one walk and seven Ks.

It’ll be Tanner Bibee in the starting pitcher role for the Guardians on Sunday. So far this year Bibee is 2-1 with a 4.34 ERA in nine starts. He’s got 48 Ks in 45.2 innings total. Bibee is 12-5 with a 3.31 ERA in 34 career starts.

Minnesota Twins vs Cleveland Guardians Prediction

I’ll stick with the Twins. Both starters could use a solid outing, though. Paddack gave up five earned in 5.0 innings during a loss to the Yankees his last time out. Over the two starts prior however Paddack had just one earned run in 11.1 innings. As for Bibee, he’s coming off 5.1 clean frames versus Texas, but gave up 10 earned over his previous 9.0 innings.

On Saturday the Twins were ice cold on the scoreboard until the final inning but did manage to post a few cosmetic runs. The pitching was pretty rough; Minnesota is going to need a better job on the mound Sunday.
