On Friday the Phillies scored all their runs in the first three innings. Zack Wheeler managed 7.1 innings in the start with two earned on three hits and three walks.

Washington Nationals vs Philadelphia Phillies Prediction

I’ll take a stab on the Nationals. Gore has been pitching pretty well overall across his last three starts. In that time he’s got 14.0 innings and six earned runs total, but Gore is just 0-2 in the record column. As for Sanchez, he’s given up eight earned runs over his last 17.2 innings combined.

On Friday the Nationals had a pretty solid bullpen effort but couldn’t capitalize at the plate. Washington will need to get the bats going Saturday if they want to even things up. I’m probably staying away from this one, though.
