New York Yankees Betting Preview

The Yankees had a pretty solid series versus the Milwaukee Brewers over the weekend, winning 15-3 Saturday and 15-5 Sunday. New York’s luck ran out in the first two games versus Baltimore though, as they’d fall 2-0 and 4-2. On Wednesday the Yankees posted a 2-0 shutout win. Oswaldo Cabrera had both RBI with two hits and a homer.

In the starter role for the Yankees on Thursday it’ll be Carlos Rodon. Over his six starts this year Rodon is 2-1 with a 2.48 ERA and 30 Ks in 32.2 innings. Rodon has a career record of 61-55 with a 3.78 ERA in 172 games (167 starts). The Yankees will take on the Tigers and Astros after this series

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

Over on the Orioles’ side, they managed a 7-0 shutout win over the Oakland Athletics on Saturday but otherwise lost their other two games of that set. Following their wins over the Yankees in the first two games of this series, on Wednesday the O’s could only muster three hits in the defeat. Corbin Burnes went 6.0 innings in the start with two earned on four hits and one walk.

It’ll be Kyle Bradish in the starter slot for the Orioles on Thursday. This will be Bradish’s 2024 debut. He’s 16-14 with a 3.68 ERA in 53 career starts.

The Orioles will meet the Reds and Nationals following this series.

New York Yankees vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction

I’ll stay with the Yankees, but I’m probably not touching this one. The good news for New York is that Rodon is pitching well over his last two games. He’s given up just one earned run over his last two starts, with three hits and three walks in 13.0 combined innings. Rodon should be able to at least flirt with a quality outing.

On Wednesday New York didn’t have a great evening at the plate but the two-run fifth inning did the trick. The Yankees used three pitchers in a clean bullpen session on defense. Provided Rodon stays hot New York should be in a good spot.
