The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Nationals meet Wednesday in MLB action from Nationals Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Washington Nationals prediction.
Los Angeles Dodgers Team Preview
The Los Angeles Dodgers come into this game looking to build on their series-opening 4-1 win over the Nationals from Tuesday’s series opener. The Dodgers didn’t get it in gear until the later innings, getting on the board finally in the 6th inning before breaking the game open in the 8th inning with a pair of runs and an insurance run in the 9th. Going into Tuesday’s opener, Shohei Ohtani leads the Dodgers with 35 hits and a .368 batting average along with a team-high 11 doubles, 5 homers and 13 RBIs. Mookie Betts also has a team-high 6 home runs and 19 RBIs while Teoscar Hernandez has 5 home runs with 19 RBIs of his own. Ohtani and Betts each have a team-high 5 stolen bases as well this season. Landon Knack will get the start for the Dodgers here and is 0-1 with a 3.60 ERA and 4 strikeouts this season. This will be Knack’s second career start against the Nationals. The Dodgers will face the Blue Jays following this series.

Washington Nationals Team Preview
The Washington Nationals come into this game looking to get some revenge after falling short and letting one slip away in Tuesday’s loss to the Dodgers. The Nationals jumped out to an early lead with a run in the second inning, but that was all the offense that the Nationals would muster up as Washington would fall short on Tuesday. Entering Tuesday, Jesse Winker leads the Nationals with 22 hits while CJ Abrams has a team-high 6 home runs, 3 triples, 4 doubles and 12 RBIs with 22 hits as well. Lane Thomas also has 10 RBIs and 10 stolen bases while Joey Gallo has 3 home runs, 5 doubles and a team-high 34 strikeouts. Trey Lipscomb has 4 stolen bases and Luis Garcia Jr. has a team-high 7 doubles and 5 stolen bases of his own. Jake Irvin will start for the Nationals here and is 1-1 with a 3.13 ERA and 20 strikeouts this season. In his career, Irvin is 1-1 with a 2.65 ERA and 13 strikeouts against the Dodgers. The Nationals will take on the Marlins after this series.

Dodgers vs. Nationals Prediction
I’m on the Nationals here. The Dodgers got the win over Washington on Tuesday, but I think that win was a by-product of the bullpen just falling flat and the Nationals’ bats falling short. Irvin pitched really well the last time these starters locked up, and I think he can have another strong showing here. I think all of the value is on the Nationals in this one even though it’s hard facing the same lineup in back-to-back starts. Give me Washington here.
Chris’s Pick Washington +165
