Where to Watch: Colorado Rockies, Root-NW
The Seattle Mariners and the Colorado Rockies meet Saturday in MLB action from Coors Field. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Seattle Mariners vs. Colorado Rockies prediction.
Seattle Mariners Team Preview
The Seattle Mariners come into this one looking to build on their 5-1 win over the Reds, completing their sweep of Cincinnati to start the week, but had to wait an extra day to do so after Friday’s postponement. Mitch Haniger has a team-high 19 hits with 13 RBIs and 3 home runs while Jorge Polanco has 3 home runs and 8 RBIs with 26 strikeouts while Julio Rodriguez has a team-high 27 strikeouts and 4 stolen bases. Luis Castillo will get the start for the Mariners here and is 0-4 with a 5.82 ERA and 27 strikeouts this season.
Colorado Rockies Team Preview
The Colorado Rockies come into this game looking to snap a five-game losing streak after a 7-6 loss to Philadelphia last time out prior to Friday’s opener being postponed. Ryan McMahon leads the Rockies with 26 hits along with 5 doubles and a team-high 11 RBIs while Ezequiel Tovar has 3 home runs and 10 RBIs. Michael Toglia has a team-high 4 home runs while Nolan Jones has the dubious distinction of leading the Rockies with 30 strikeouts this season. Dakota Hudson will get the start for the Rockies here and is 0-3 with a 4.15 ERA and 11 strikeouts this season.
Mariners vs. Rockies Prediction
I’m looking at the Rockies here. My sentiment for this game is the same as it would’ve been for Friday’s had there not been a postponement, but the Mariners sending out Luis Castillo just gets us more value on the Rockies. Castillo is supposed to be the staff ace, but he has yet to fit that billing so far this year and I think there’s going to be some issues in a start at Coors Field. The Mariners offense also continues to strike out against righties like it’s going out of style, and I think the Rockies could sneak one out here as well. Give me Colorado.
Chris’s Pick Colorado +169
