Astros vs Nationals Prediction

Houston comes into this series after getting swept by the Braves at home and they desperately need to get some better pitching. The Astros have one of the worst team ERA’s in the MLB and they have allowed five runs or more in four straight games. Washington just had a very impressive series win against the Dodgers, but they have alternated wins and losses over their last six. Houston is starting Justin Verlander, who is coming off of the IL for his first start. Washington is going with MacKenzie Gore, who has allowed five earned runs and 14 hits over 16.0 innings in three starts. I am interested to see how Verlander looks in his first start, but the Astros have not shown me they are worthy of this price. I like Washington +1.5 here.
