The Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins face off on Tuesday in Game 3 of their ALDS series at Target Field. The series is currently 1-1.
Twins Now Have Home Field
The Twins now have home field after they were able to win on Sunday night in Houston. Carlos Correa was inconsistent during the regular season but the Twins payed him for the playoffs, and so far he has delivered. Correa finished with three RBIs and three hits in the last game. Pablo Lopez also looked like an ace, and and he’s going to need to be good again here. On the mound for the Twins will be Sonny Gray and in his last start against the Toronto Blue Jays he went five innings giving up five hits and zero runs.
All Pressure on the Astros
Not many gave the Twins much of a chance in this series but now the Astros have to win at least one game at Target Field, or their season is going to be over. In the first game of the series the Astros scored six runs, but in Game 2 the offense only scored two runs and they need the offense to be better here. On the mound for the Astros will be Cristian Javier and in his last start against the Diamondbacks he went six innings giving up three hits and zero runs.
Shane’s Free Pick
The Twins are going to win this series and that is going to start with this game. Gray was dominant n his last start against the Blue Jays and he’s going to lockdown again in this game. The Astros struggled in Game 2 and they are going to struggle to get any type of offense going again in this game. Look for the Twins to score at least four runs here and that will be the difference. Back the Twins on the money line.
