The Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres face off on Tuesday in an MLB showdown at Petco Park.
Rockies Need Better Pitching
The Rockies need to find a way to pitch better here, or this is going to be a long game. On Sunday the Rockies offense scored 10 runs, but the pitching gave up 11 runs and that led to the defeat. The Rockies are averaging 4.44 runs per game while their pitching is giving up 5.85 runs per game. The pitching has been a problem all season, and they are going to need better pitcher here.
Snell Continues to Dominate
On the mound for the Padres will be Blake Snell and he sits with a 14-9 record overall and an ERA of 2.43. Over Snell’s last four starts he has gone 25 innings total and given up only two runs total. If Snell is good here, the Padres should secure another victory here. The Padres are averaging 4.61 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.15 runs per game. The offense is ranked 14th in the league while the pitching is ranked 6th. Juan Soto has hit 32 home runs and driven in 98 RBIs.
Shane’s Free Pick
The Rockies bats are going to be ice cold in this game. The Padres send Blake Snell to the mound and he’s been lights out heading into this game. The Rockeis bats are going to struggle to score even a run here, and that is going to be the difference as the Padres are going to get the job done. Back the Padres on the run line. I am also throwing a few dollars on Padres -2.5 for added value.
