The Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels face off on Sunday in an MLB showdown at Angel Stadium. The Mariners have won the first two games of this series.
Mariners Continue Playoff Push
The Mariners have been playing some good baseball on Friday the offense scored nine runs on the way to the victory. Julio Rodriguez at times hasn’t been as flashy this season, but he sure was good on Friday finishing with a home run, two hits, and two RBIs. The Mariners are averaging 4.59 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.18 runs per game. The offense is ranked 14th while the pitching is ranked 8th. On the mound for the Mariners is Bryce Miller who sits with a 7-4 record and an ERA of 4.35.
Silseth the Savior?
Not many probably know who Chase Silseth is, but he has been really strong for the Angels. Over his last two starts he has gone 10.2 innings and given up only two runs. That has led to the wins over the New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves. The Angels are averaging 4.96 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.29 runs per game. The offfense is ranked 7th while the pitching is ranked 21st. An article can’t be written that doesn’t talk about just how impressive Ohtani has been this season. He is a once in generational talent, and he always seems to come through in the clutch.
Shane’s Free Pick
The Angels sometimes aren’t trustworthy, but I do trust them when Silseth is on the mound, especially as of late. His last two starts, Silseth has looked really good and he’s going to lockdown again here. The Angels are going to find enough offensive success off of Miller for the Angels to get secure the victory. Back the Angels.
