Dodgers vs Padres Prediction - MLB Picks 8/6/23

The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres face off on Sunday in an MLB showdown at Petco Park. On Friday it was the Dodgers that were able to secure the 10-5 victory. On Saturday the Padres pitching was better and they ended up winning 8-3. 

Dodgers Keep on Rolling

Heading into Saturday night’s game the Dodgers had lost four games in a row. Over the last three games the Dodgers offense scored 28 runs and they are going to need to continue that strong offense. On Friday the Dodgers scored 10 runs and the offense was led by David Peralta who finished with two hits, two runs, and two RBIs. The Dodgers are averaging 5.67 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.67 runs per game. On the mound will be Lance Lynn who sits with a 7-9 record and an ERA of 6.32. 

Padres Continue to Disappoint

The Padres have been the most disappointing team in baseball, and the pitching again was awful on Friday. It was Robert Suarez that was awful going 0.2 innings and giving up five runs. The Padres are averaging 4.62 runs while their pitching is giving up 3.98 runs per game. The offense is ranked 13th while the pitching is ranked 2nd. On the mound for the Padres will be Rich Hill who sits with a 7-10 record and an ERA of 4.76. The Padres acquiring Hill didn’t make a lot of sense and it’s just another bad decision by the Padres.
