The Seattle Mariners will host the Minnesota Twins for game two of their four-game series this Tuesday from T-Mobile Park on FS1. Seattle held off Minnesota last night to win by one, 7-6.

Twins Betting Preview

Minnesota moved to 48-47 after losing to Seattle. The Twins had their rally cut short in the ninth, and they’ll look to complete the mission Saturday. The Minnesota offense is scoring 3.62 runs per game, while batting .233, with a .315 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.44 ERA, with a 1.18 WHIP. Carlos Correa has doubled in three of the last four games, and he leads the Twins in hits (75) and RBI (41), with eleven home runs. Joey Gallo went yard last night to extend his team-lead to 17 home runs. Donovan Solano has scored a run in three of the last four contests, and he’s first on the team in batting (.277).

Bailey Ober (4-4, 2.83 ERA, 37 Ks) will take the mound for Minnesota. The third-year righty closed the first half of play ith a pair of stout outings against the Orioles, holding them to just one run over thirteen innings pitched, while earning the victory in Baltimore. Ober has been extremely reliable at the back end of the Twins’ rotation this year, as six of his last seven starts dating back to June have resulted in quality starts. Ober has only allowed more than three runs once in fourteen appearances, and he’ll look to carry this momentum into the second the crucial months of the season.

Mariners Betting Preview

Seattle enters at 47-46 after defeating Minnesota. The Mariners responded to a poor series with the Tigers by edging out a game one victory over the Twins, and they’ll look to double down here Tuesday. The pitching staff carries a 3.55 ERA, with a 1.19 WHIP. Teoscar Hernandez doubled in the game one win, and he leads Seattle in home runs (15) and RBI (50). Julio Rodriguez produced a run via SAC fly last night, and he leads the Mariners in hits (94), with thirteen homers and 50 RBI. Eugenio Suarez homered in the win over Minny to bring his splits to .225/12/54. Jarred Kelenic has plated a run in five of the previous seven games, and he’s posting a line of .252/11/45.

Bryan Woo (0-1, 7.30 ERA, 20 Ks) will start for Seattle. The rookie pitcher wrapped up the first half of action with a pair of quality starts in San Francisco and Houston. Woo has allowed two runs or less six straight outings, and he’ll look to keep that momentum rolling here during the second portion of his rookie year.

Minnesota vs Seattle Trends

Minnesota is 45-49 against the spread this season, with a 42-48-4 O/U record. Seattle is 45-47 ATS this year, with a 45-45-2 over/under record.

Corey’s Free Pick

Minnesota came awfully close to spoiling Seattle’s game one victory, and I think we get another back and forth battle here Tuesday. Both ball clubs will be sending steady arms to the mound in Bailey Ober and Bryan Woo, and while this pitching matchup might lack name value, these two have been stout since the start of June. In return, the total reflects that and it looks manageable, and I like targeting it despite the stretches of play from Ober and Woo. Take the Over for game two.

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a PickDawgz site consensus.
