Xander Bogaerts leads the Pads in batting (.330) and hits (17). Matt Carpenter is now first on the team in RBI (13) after producing five runs in Sunday’s win over Arizona.

Joe Musgrove (1-0, 5.40 ERA, 6 K) is set to start for San Diego. The former All-Star pitcher had a solid season debut versus Arizona, striking out six over five full innings, and earning the winning decision.

I like leaning on the Padres here, as a win could put them back over .500.
