The Baltimore Orioles and the Detroit Tigers will close their three-game set this Sunday from Camden Yards. Baltimore used a big third inning and didn’t look back, taking game two by four, 5-1.

Tigers Betting Preview

Detroit fell to 7-12 after losing to Baltimore. The Tigers have dropped their last two games, and with their last five being decided by one run, they may be in for another nail biter today. The Detroit offense is scoring 3.02 runs per game, while batting .216, with a .274 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 5.03 ERA, with a 1.30 WHIP. Riley Greene is leading the team in hitting (.247), after recording a hit in seven of the last ten games. Javy Baez is starting to figure things out, and after recording a hit in seven straight games, he’s up to 7 RBI.

Eduardo Rodriguez (1-2, 3.00 ERA, 19 Ks) will get the ball in Game 2 for the Tigers. The eighth-year lefty dropped his first two appearances of the season, but he cleaned things up a bit by going six innings and allowing just one run versus Toronto on the road.

Orioles Betting Preview

Baltimore moved to 13-7 after defeating Detroit. The Orioles followed up their DMV sweep of Washington by taking both games rom the Tigers, and they’ll look to make it six straight wins here. The Baltimore offense is scoring 5.33 runs per game, while batting .248, with a .343 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 5.03 ERA, with a 1.27 WHIP. Jorge Mateo leads the team in hitting (.362) after recording a hit in four of the last five games. Ryan Mountcastle leads the O’s in RBI (20), with Cedric Mullins right behind him at 15 after a big series versus Chicago.

Grayson Rodriguez (0-1, 3.27 ERA, 8 Ks) will get the ball for Baltimore. The rookie pitcher is starting to find his way after going for a personal best eight strikeouts over five innings in the Southside versus Chicago last weekend. Rodriguez will look to avenge a tough home debut against Oakland here, and he may find success containing Detroit’s swing heavy lineup.

Detroit vs Baltimore Trends

Detroit is 10-8 against the spread this season, with a 9-9 over/under record. Baltimore is 10-9 ATS this year, with a 11-7-1 O/U record.

Corey's Free Pick

Baltimore has won six in a row, and I like them closing this series the right way with a victory. The battle of the Rodriguez’ should be interesting, but the O’s simply have too much momentum to ignore here. Back Baltimore this Sunday.
