Chicago went 12-14 in Spring Training this season and the expectations are nowhere near where they were last season. The White Sox are projected to be just below .500, but they are playing in one of the weakest divisions in baseball. The projected starting pitcher for Chicago in this game is Dylan Cease, who was 14-8 with a 2.20 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP last season. 

Astros Preview

The Houston Astros finished last year with a record of 106-56 and finished first in the AL West. The Astros won the 2022 World Series after defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in six games. Houston went 14-10 in Spring Training this year, but they are dealing with a few injury issues to start the season. The biggest injury is with Jose Altuve, who may start on the 60 day IL due to a thumb injury. The projected starting pitcher for Houston is Framber Valdez, who was 17-6 with a 2.82 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP last year.
