Overall the Tigers are averaging only 3.19 runs per game which is 30th in the league. Guys like Javier Baez haven’t been good enough, and it has led to struggles. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Chicago White Sox who sits with a 56-56 record overall and they have lost two games in a row. With every loss, the White Sox are falling more out of the playoff race, and this is a series where they really need a sweep. The White Sox have a talented lineup but just haven’t scored enough runs. The White Sox are averaging 4.26 runs per game. The White Sox have dealt with key injuries this year and right now Tim Anderson is out. 

On the mound for the Tigers is Daniel Norris who sits with an 0-4 record and an ERA of 6.90. 

On the mound for the White Sox will be Michael Kopech who sits with a 4-8 record and an ERA of 3.38. In his last start against the Texas Rangers, he went 3.1 innings giving up five hits and four runs.
