The Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins face off on Tuesday in an MLB showdown at loanDepot Park.

The Nationals come into this game with a 21-35 record overall but they have won three games in a row. Over the last three games, the Nationals have scored 23 runs, and it’s going to be important that they continue to find offensive success in this game. This is an offense that hasn’t been exactly hot all season, but it looks like they are turning the corner in the right way. Josh Bell has hit five home runs and driven in 31 RBIs.

On the other side of this matchup is the Miami Marlins who sit with a 22-30 record overall and they have lost two of their last three games. In the last game against the San Francisco Giants, the Marlins only scored only one run. The Marlins offense and defense are both ranked 15th in the league. Jazz Chisholm has hit eight home runs and driven in 31 RBIs. Jorge Soler has hit 11 home runs and driven in 27 RBIs. In this game the Marlins need to try and give Cabrera some run support.

On the mound for the Marlins is Edward Cabrera who sits a 1-0 record and an ERA of 0.00. On July 1st he faced off with the Colorado Rockies, he went six innings, giving up one hit and zero runs.

The Marlins are 4-1 in their last five games following a loss. The Nationals are 0-4 in their last four games on Tuesday. The over is 4-1 in the Marlins' last five games after scoring two runs or less in their last previous games. The under is 4-1 in Nationals' last 5 when their opponent scores 2 runs or less in their previous game.

The Nationals' offense was good over the weekend, but they are going to go back to having issues scoring in this game. Cabrera went six innings and didn’t give up a run in his last start. Look for the Nationals to really struggled in this game to score, and the Marlins will secure the victory.
